- What are the tests that need to be done?
1.Whole blood count
Whole blood count meant complete blood count. This test is done to assess your overall health. It is also used to identify a variety of disorders, including anaemia, infection, and leukaemia. This test is especially important for Indian women as most women in the country suffer from anaemia.
2.Blood sugar test
If your test reading is <99, it is considered normal. If it is between 100 and 110, it is diagnosed as pre-diabetes and if it is as high as 100, then you have more diabetes.
3.Lipid profile
A lipid profile is a test similar to a blood test. This test is related to heart and blood vessel diseases. This test is done to measure the level of blood, total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL. If anyone in your family has heart disease or diabetes, they should get tested once a year.
4.Pap smear test
This test understands the changes that take place in the cells in your body. Moreover, the pap smear test diagnoses uterine cancer in time. Also, various uterine diseases are diagnosed in time.
5.ECG test
Every doctor advises you to take this test after the age of 35. This test is mainly used to diagnose heart disease, blockage, lack of oxygen, chest pain, difficulty breathing, heart attack.
6.Liver function test
This test is conducted to check the condition of the liver. This test should be done at least once a year. If you drink too much alcohol, you are more likely to get fatty liver, hepatitis C and B which is why it is advisable to get this test done.
7.Thyroid function test
Thyroid function tests are done to see how well your thyroid gland works. The thyroid is a small gland located in the lower part of your neck. This gland is responsible for regulating many processes in the body such as metabolism, energy production and mood. This test involves testing for T3, T RU, T4, and TSH.
8.Vitamin D test
Vitamin D is important for strong and healthy bones. Vitamin D helps prevent many diseases. The level of vitamin D in your body can be checked by a blood test. Moreover, Vitamin D deficiency happens to be a common phenomenon in India.
9.STD test
If you are having sex with more than one partner or if you are planning to get pregnant, you should definitely take this test to diagnose sexually transmitted diseases.
